HAVANA NIGHTLIFE & BEACH TOUR
6 day / 5 night tour to experience the best of Havana’s sights and sounds and
the beauty of the island.
Day 1. You will be met and assisted by your personal
driver/guide upon arrival at Havana International Airport. Special VIP service
fast tracking you through immigrations and Customs and then enjoy a cocktail in
the VIP lounge while your baggage is brought to you by a valet. Transfer to the
colonial style 4 star Raquel Hotel in Old Havana.

Day 2. This morning, experience the old and historical sites of
Old Havana on a walking tour with your personal guide. Some of the highlights
will be the second oldest fortress in America, Cathedral Square and the
Revolutionary Museum. We follow the Hemingway trail and see the room at the
Ambos Mundos Hotel where he wrote the book 'For Whom the Bells Toll', and then
onto the La Bodeguita Bar where he used to frequent for his Mojito cocktails
For lunch we go to La Guarida (The Hideaway), now a restaurant, but in 1990's
it was the set for the film Strawberry and Chocolate, it was nominated in the
Oscar Awards of 1995. The place used to be the apartment of Diego. In the film
he represented a gay person trying to survive in an intolerant Cuban society;
the film helped to create more awareness and less discrimination. It has also
been visited by famous characters, from Hollywood stars to Spanish royalty.
Later we take a nostalgic trip in a classical American car visiting the
Revolutionary Square, the Colon Cemetery and ending with a Daiquiri cocktail at
the Floridita Bar. Return to the Raquel Hotel. In the evening we step out to
experience one of Havana 's nightclubs. Overnight at Raquel Hotel.

Day 3 Following breakfast you will have the chance to
chill-out and enjoy a day at one of Havana’s local beaches. After the beach we
go back to the hotel to prepare for a night out at a Havana cabaret. Return to
Raquel Hotel.

Day 4 An early departure to the beautiful ecological tourist
complex of Las Terrazas mountain resort to enjoy its flora and fauna. The area
is one of the best places in Cuba for bird watching and is the habitat of the
national bird, the Tocororo. We visit the Las Terrazas Village Community and
enjoy the magnificent Cuban coffee at Maria's house, especially good as she
roasts the coffee beans on charcoal which gives it its unique flavour. We go to
Cafetal Buenavista, which preserves the ruins of an 18th century French coffee
plantation. On a good day you can see the Gulf of Mexico to the north and the
Caribbean Sea to the south. We have lunch at El Cafetal Restaurant, located in
the original house of the French plantation owners. In the afternoon relax and
enjoy the sulfuric mountain spring waters of the San Juan River, it is said the
waters will make you younger. Free evening. Overnight at La Moka Hotel.

Day 5 In the morning we travel to the beautiful Vinales Valley
to enjoy its limestone hill formations, the mogotes, unique only to Cuba and
China . Visit the Indian Cave where the rocks have been formed both naturally
as well as sculptured by hand, with shapes and forms resembling figures like an
Indian smoking, the three ships used by Christopher Columbus, and others you
will be able to see and also imagine. Lunch will be a lo Guajiro (farmers
lunch), in the restaurant by the Prehistorically Mural, where you will taste
typical Cuban-style crillo food. We continue onto to visit the Robaina house
and tobacco plantation and maybe meet with legendary Alejandro Robaina with a
talk on the processes of tobacco. We then visit the Francisco Donatien cigar
factory to see how cigars are made. Then we go to the Guayabita del Pinar rum
factory, the exclusivity of the place is given due to the fact it is the only
region where the small fruit grows. Here you will be able to taste the Cuban
rum and liqueurs. Return to the Raquel Hotel . Later we go to the El Turquino
nightclub. Overnight at Raquel Hotel.

Day 6 You can extend your stay in Cuba (by pre-arrangement) by
taking one of our other tours to different places in the island such as Cayo
Largo or Varadero\beach resorts. Or transfer to the airport for your outbound
flight.
