Experience the natural beauty and culture of a typical Cuban finca

Departing in the morning from Havana we go east for a short drive along the northern coast to arrive at the finca to be greeted with traditional Cuban musicians. Our team of dancers will offer you your first welcome ‘Mojito’ cocktail to get you in the mood for the next activity, some salsa dance lessons and then real time practice to the sound of salsa music. There will also be a small show of country style dancing.

Time to relax at the small swimming pool if you fancy a dip or just soak up the sun while one of the team demonstrates how sap is extracted from sugar cane and for you to drink the fresh juice. You may also like to try out some horse back riding.

As an aperitif before lunch workers will climb coconut trees and bring down fresh coconuts for you to relish the juice with lashings of rum. A classic Cuban country meal of spit-roast pork cooked on charcoal, rice and beans, yucca and plantains will be served for lunch.

After a relaxed lunch you will have a little leisure time before you return to Havana. This special occasion which brings you closer to the real Cuba and its people, is designed for small to medium sized groups.

Mojito Cocktail Recipe
This is thought to come from the Creole habit of adding “seasoning” (lemon juice and garlic) to meat. Maybe the fact of adding lemon juice and macerated mint to the mixture of white rum Havana Club, sparkling water, sugar and ice, makes this cocktail a little bit of “mojo” that is to say a “Mojito”.
