One of the hottest festivals in the Western hemisphere – the Havana Biennale – is coming back! It’s set to re-ignite April 12-May 12-May 2019. The month-long, vibrant Biennale is Cuba’s at its cultural best, showcasing not just Cuban talent but artist from across Latin America and the Caribbean, and increasingly from African, Asian and Middle Eastern countries. It has always pulled professional and student artists, teachers, researchers, collectors, curators and galleries from around the world.

Founded in 1984, it has grown into an expansive multi-venue affair. Exhibitions and installation colonise public institutions, open-air spaces, studios, private houses, and the Biennale include video screenings, workshops, and exciting panels, too. It’s a buzzing time for connecting with the country’s rich and provocative artistic traditions.
