Cuba Discovery Tour
Fixed departure every two weeks.

Itinerary: 3 nights in Havana, 2 nights in Trinidad, 1 night in Camaguey, 2 nights in Santiago de Cuba and 2 nights in Baracoa.
This tour ends upon arrival at Havana domestic flight terminal. All services from that point onwards are not included in itinerary.
WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND TO STAY OVERNIGHT IN HAVANA AT THE END OF THE TOUR SINCE HAVING YOUR OUTBOUND FLIGHT THE SAME DAY AS YOUR DOMESTIC FLIGHT FROM BARACOA TO HAVANA REPRESENTS A GREAT RISK DUE TO EVENTUAL DOMESTIC FLIGHTS DELAYS.

Day 01 Moday Arrival to Havana.
Met by Cuba Select Travel representative. Transfer to hotel not included. Accommodation in selected hotel and dinner. Free time.
Day 02 Tuesday Havana city tour
Breakfast. Visit to Morro-Cabanas’ fortress lookout point located on a cliff at the entrance of Havana’s harbor. Walking tour in Old Havana, declared by UNESCO the Cultural Heritage of Mankind: San Francisco de Asis Square. Visit to the craft palace, tasting and pairing of rum and tobacco. Demonstration of tobacco's twisting. The tour continues around Plaza Viejas (Old Square) along Mercaderes street to Ambos Mundos hotel, where famous American writer Ernest Hemingway lived. Walk around Plaza de Armas (Weapons’ Square) and Cathedral Square. Continue to the bar-restaurant La Bodeguita del Medio, the lunch is included in this renowned restaurant. Panoramic tour along the exterior areas of the Revolution Museum, Central Park, Havana’s Grand Theatre, National Capitol. Hemingway’s bar El Floridita. Take the view of the most popular city avenues Malecon, which runs along Havana’s northern coast 7 km. long. Visit to the Revolution Square a site of great historical value. Visit to Revolution Square and Panoramic tour along Havana’s University building. Return to the hotel. Dinner in El Aljibe restaurant. At night free time at your disposal.
Day 03 Wednesday Havana-Vinales Valley-Havana
Breakfast. Excursion to Vinales Valley in Pinar del Rio, Cuba’s westernmost province, where world’s best tobacco is cultivated. Exotic landscape with royal palms, Cuba’s national tree. Visit to cigars’ factory Francisco Donatien. On the way to Vinales Valley visit to a typical country farm to learn about the local peasants’ life style, traditions, tobacco’ cultivation process and enjoy the hospitality of its people. Visit to the Indian Cave with the boating through the cave with stalactites and stalagmites along the underground river San Vicente. Visit to the Pre-history Mural, where you could appreciate paintings on the country’s most ancient rocks. Typical country lunch is included in the Pre-history Mural restaurant. Stop at lookout point Mirador de los Jasmines to admire the splendorous view on Vinales Valley and enjoy a cocktail. Return to the hotel. Dinner. Free time.
Day 04 Thursday Havana-Peninsula de Zapata-Guama Natural Park-Cienfuegos- Trinidad
Breakfast. Departure to Cienfuegos. Visit to Fiesta Campesina farm to learn about the endemic flora and fauna of Peninsula de Zapata, the Americas’ largest wetland, Biosphere Reserve. Taste a typical cocktail. Visit to Guama Natural Park and its crocodile farm. Lunch in La Boca restaurant. Trip continues along the southern coast of Peninsula de Zapata, the battles’ scenery against North American invasions in Playa Larga and Playa Giron bays on 17 th of April, 1961. Arrival to Cienfuegos, known as the southern pearl, where the largest Latin America’s coral site Notre Dame was discovered. City tour along Cienfuegos’ main streets and avenues, the only city in America founded by French settlers under the Spanish crown, situated on the marvelous natural bay coasts and protected by Jagua fortress. The perfect symmetry of its streets, neoclassical and eclectic architecture, the Historic Center, declared World’s Cultural Heritage make this city so attractive. Visit to Tomas Terry Theatre, walking tour around city’s center Jose Marti’s Square, where you could see the Cultural Background House, Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Cathedral. Panoramic visit to a local monument Palacio del Valle. Trip continues to Trinidad. Arrival and accommodation in the selected hotel. Dinner in the hotel. Free time.
Day 05 Friday Trinidad
Breakfast. Panoramic walking tour through Trinidad’s city center, one of the first Cuban villages founded by Spaniards at the beginning of 16 th century, declared Cultural Heritage by UNESCO. Visit to a city museum, Plaza Mayor Square, the main parochial church of the Holy Trinity with its luxurious altar decorated with local precious woods and 300 years old images. Visit to Canchanchara bar, where you could taste its famous cocktail founded by mambises (Cuban independence fighters) in 19 th century. Lunch in the Plaza Mayor restaurant(buffet). Visit to Chichi’s House belonging one of the city’s most famous families Santander. Return to the hotel. Free time.
Day 06 Saturday Trinidad / Camaguey
Breakfast. Early departure to Camaguey City. Visit to Sugar Mills’ Valley, Mankind’s Heritage for its exceptional beauty. Enjoy the typical cocktail. Arrival to Camaguey and lunch in Campana de Toledo restaurant. Panoramic walking tour along the city center, Mankind Cultural Heritage declared by UNESCO, visiting Our Lady of the Mercy church, Ignacio Agramonte, Trabajadores, Carmen’s Squares. Accommodation in the selected hotel and dinner. Free time.
Day 07 Sunday Camagüey- Bayamo- Santiago de Cuba
Breakfast. Departure to Santiago de Cuba. Transit visit to Bayamo city. Panoramic walking tour around the city center. Lunch in Loma de la Cruz restaurant. Trip continues to Santiago de Cuba. Visit to the Virgin de la Caridad del Cobre Basilica and Sanctuary. Accommodation and dinner in the selected hotel. Free time
Day 08 Monday Santiago de Cuba
Breakfast. City tour in Cuba’s Hero City Santiago. Visit to Santa Ifigenia Cemetery, a true jewel of funerary art in Cuba and where the impressive mausoleum helds Jose Marti’s, the Cuba’s National Hero, remains. Panoramic visit to Antonio Maceo Revolution Square and 26 th of July Museum. Walking tour through the city center, Cespedes Square, visit to Diego Velazquez house, then along Padre Pico and Heredia streets to Dolores Square. Visit to the brewery. Opportunity to meet and participate in the brewing process, tasting. Visit to el Morro Fortress, situated on a cliff at the entrance of Santiago’s harbor. Lunch in El Morro restaurant. Return to the hotel. At night dinner in the private restaurant Matamoros. Free time.
Day 09 Tuesday Santiago de Cuba /Baracoa
Breakfast. Departure to Baracoa. Transit visit to Guantanamo city. Visit to Tumba Francesa and Changui houses, where you could learn about typical rhythms brought by French immigrants from Haiti to Cuba. Lunch in Marti Hotel. Trip continues to Baracoa. Accommodation and dinner in the selected hotel.
Day 10 Wednesday Baracoa
Breakfast. Panoramic tour through the city center Baracoa’s, the first Cuban village founded by Diego Velazquez in 1511 and also the first Cuban capital. Inside the Nuestra Senora de la Asuncion church is very old and authentic relic of the Parra Cross brought to Cuba by Christopher Columbus in 16 th century, which is considered to be the oldest symbol of Christian religion in Cuba. Visit to the Matachin fortress Municipality Museum and then bus tour to Baracoa’s countryside visiting Duaba farm, where you could enjoy exuberant local flora with its cacao plantations. Taste a cup of a local drink named Chorote. Excursion by boat along the widest Cuban river Toa in Cuchillas del Toa Natural Park, Biosphere Reserve. Enjoy a typical creole lunch in Rancho Toa restaurant. Walking tour around Rancho Toa farm to get in touch with local flora and to know about the local people’ customs, traditions, houses’ construction, means of transportation, their traditional food, the main agriculture products such as cacao and coco nuts. Return to the hotel. Farewell dinner in the El Castillo hotel restaurant. Free time.
Day 11 Thursday Baracoa / La Habana
Breakfast. Transfer to Baracoa’s airport. Check in for the domestic flight to Havana.
