Hershey ‘Chocolate’ Train Excursion
Travel back in history on the original train used by the Hershey Chocolate company
to transport sugarcane to the Hershey refinery and then to the port for shipment
to the U.S. as refined sugar for the production of the famous chocolate. Hershey
developed a whole village community for his workers as well as a private park, both
of which travelers will visit on these excursions.
[Please note these excursions are collective and requires no minimum numbers]
Morning Excursion – half day (with lunch)
9.30 am
- Transfer to "Guanabo" station to board train. Welcome cocktail (fresh fruit juice).
Entertainment with local musical group.
9.45 am
- Departure to Hershey station. During the trip, open bar with entertainment and short
stop to enjoy the "Guarapo Show" (sugar cane juice). Chocolate souvenir.
11.30 am
- Arrival at Hershey station. Transfer in air conditioned buses to the old town of
Hershey and guided sightseeing tour.
12.00 noon
- Transfer to "Jardines de Hershey". Welcome cocktail. Local guided walk.
Lunch: Bread and butter, vegetable salad, Creole appetizer, Main course of pork
and chicken, dessert, coffee o "Carajillo" (coffee with rum) and one beverage. Transfer
back to hotel in Havana.
Afternoon Excursion – half day (without lunch)
2.00 pm
- Transfer to "Jardines de Hershey" and guided walk. Transfer in air conditioned buses
to the old town of Hershey and guided sightseeing tour.
2.50 pm
- Arrival at Hershey station. Welcome cocktail (fresh fruit juice). Entertainment
with local musical group.
3.00 pm
- Departure to Guanabo train station. During the trip, open bar with entertainment
with a short stop to enjoy the "Guarapo Show" (sugar cane juice). Chocolate souvenir.
4.30 pm
- Arrival at Guanabo train station - transfer back to hotel in Havana.
